Corktown

Corktown, one of Detroit’s oldest neighborhoods, presents a unique opportunity for dense, community-centered design with blocks of unbuilt space. The proposed architecture project integrates two typologies: apartments and townhomes. The apartments offer three unit sizes on each floor, accommodating a diverse range of needs and incomes. Meanwhile, the townhomes are designed to be standalone or can be constructed with adjacent units, adaptable to various lot sizes and fostering shared green spaces between dwellings.
